Verdict

Calvin - AI Shorts Maker is a decent AI Video Creation tool. It suits specific needs but has trade-offs.

Who should buy: Social media managers, YouTubers, and content creators who need to quickly and easily turn long-form videos into short, engaging clips with captions and music.

Who should skip: Professional video editors requiring advanced customization, team collaboration, API integration, or unlimited output—and anyone who needs a free trial first.

Hidden costs: Upgrading from Starter to Pro ($30/mo extra) to get brand kit and more exports; analytics only in Pro; no free tier means you pay upfront.

Learning curve: Minimal — the AI handles most tasks; you simply upload a video and choose export settings.
