Verdict

TheDIYtrip is a decent AI Travel tool. It suits specific needs but has trade-offs.

Who should buy: Casual travelers and budget-conscious users who need a quick, free draft itinerary for a common destination without advanced features.

Who should skip: Power travelers, families, or groups who require collaborative planning, mobile access, deep customization, or integration with other trip management tools.

Hidden costs: There are no hidden costs—the tool is genuinely free. However, some advanced features like export or sharing may require an email or sign-up, but still free.

Learning curve: Minimal — the interface is straightforward with clear instructions; most users can create a trip plan within a minute of landing on the website.
