💪 Strengths
- Free to Use: Bestflights.ai is completely free, with no upfront payment or subscription fees. This makes it accessible to all travelers, particularly budget-conscious individuals who might not want to pay for premium travel planning tools. The value proposition is strong: you get AI-powered itinerary suggestions without spending a dime.
- AI-Powered Itinerary Optimization: The core feature of the platform is its AI-driven route optimization. By analyzing various flight combinations, it can suggest itineraries that might be cheaper or more time-efficient. This is particularly useful for multi-city trips where manual search is tedious and often misses smarter routes. For example, it might suggest a connecting flight through a hub that reduces overall travel time.
- Simple and Clean Interface: The interface is minimalist, focusing solely on flight search and itinerary display. This reduces clutter and makes the tool easy to navigate, even for less tech-savvy users. You can quickly enter your trip details and get results without wading through ads or confusing menus.
- Fast Results: The platform delivers optimization suggestions quickly, often within seconds. This is a practical advantage for users who need quick comparisons, such as when planning last-minute trips or trying to find the cheapest option on short notice.
⚠ Watch out for
- No Mobile App or Browser Extension: This is a significant drawback in an era where travelers rely on smartphones. Without a mobile app or extension, you can't access the tool on the go, which limits its convenience and practical use. You must be at a computer, which is not always feasible, especially during travel planning on the move.
- Lacks Essential Features: Bestflights.ai misses out on features that are standard in many travel platforms, such as price alerts, detailed fare analytics, and export options (PDF, email). Without price alerts, you can't track fare changes over time. Without export options, you can't share or retain your itinerary easily. This makes the tool less useful for thorough planning and comparison.
- No Customer Support or Data Compliance Info: The website doesn't mention any customer support channels (like email, chat, or phone) or data privacy policies (GDPR, SOC2). This raises concerns for users who value privacy and might need assistance. If you encounter a problem, you're left on your own, which is frustrating.
- Limited Scope: The tool focuses solely on flight booking and itinerary optimization. It doesn't offer hotel bookings, car rentals, or other travel services, which means users must switch between multiple platforms to plan a complete trip. This fragmentation can be inconvenient.

📋 Assessment
💪 Strengths
- The interface is genuinely simple and intuitive. From the moment you open the app, you're presented with a feed of activity suggestions that you can swipe through. There's no clutter, no confusing menus. This design makes it perfect for quick browsing, especially when you're standing on a street corner wondering what to do next.
- It's completely free to use. Core features like browsing recommendations, saving favorites, and creating basic itineraries are available without any payment. This is a major advantage over competitors that gate basic features behind subscription tiers. You can test the app's value without any financial commitment.
- The recommendation engine is tailored to your preferences. You can indicate whether you prefer urban or nature activities, adventurous or relaxed experiences, and the app adjusts its suggestions accordingly. The curated approach means you're getting quality picks, not just algorithmically generated lists from review sites.
- Coverage spans both urban and nature experiences. Whether you're into street art, local food markets, hiking trails, or scenic viewpoints, the app offers a diverse range of suggestions. This diversity makes it versatile for different types of trips and interests.
⚠ Watch out for
- No collaboration features. You can't share your itinerary with friends or family, nor can you co-plan a trip. This is a significant limitation for group travel, where coordination is key. It's strictly a solo planning tool.
- No offline functionality. All suggestions require an active data connection. If you're in a remote area or traveling internationally without a data plan, the app becomes useless. Competitors like Google Maps offer offline maps, and some travel apps allow downloading itineraries for offline access.
- Lack of integration with booking and mapping platforms. You can find activities, but you can't book them directly, nor can you get directions to them. This forces you to switch to other apps to complete your plans, adding friction to the planning process.
- No detailed itinerary planning features. While you can save favorites, there's no option to create day-by-day itineraries with times and durations. This limits its usefulness for multi-day trips where you want a structured plan.
🎯 Best for
Solo travelers or adventure seekers who want spontaneous, curated local ideas without the need for detailed planning or group coordination.
🚫 Who should skip
Travelers who need comprehensive itinerary planning, booking integrations, or collaboration tools for group trips.

🧑⚖️ Verdict
Nowy Nowy is a solid choice for spontaneous solo travelers on a budget who want quick, personalized activity ideas. However, if you need collaboration, offline access, or booking integration, you'll be disappointed. Bottom line: it's a useful free tool for inspiration, but not a complete travel plan
