💪 Strengths
- The interface is genuinely simple and intuitive. From the moment you open the app, you're presented with a feed of activity suggestions that you can swipe through. There's no clutter, no confusing menus. This design makes it perfect for quick browsing, especially when you're standing on a street corner wondering what to do next.
- It's completely free to use. Core features like browsing recommendations, saving favorites, and creating basic itineraries are available without any payment. This is a major advantage over competitors that gate basic features behind subscription tiers. You can test the app's value without any financial commitment.
- The recommendation engine is tailored to your preferences. You can indicate whether you prefer urban or nature activities, adventurous or relaxed experiences, and the app adjusts its suggestions accordingly. The curated approach means you're getting quality picks, not just algorithmically generated lists from review sites.
- Coverage spans both urban and nature experiences. Whether you're into street art, local food markets, hiking trails, or scenic viewpoints, the app offers a diverse range of suggestions. This diversity makes it versatile for different types of trips and interests.
⚠ Watch out for
- No collaboration features. You can't share your itinerary with friends or family, nor can you co-plan a trip. This is a significant limitation for group travel, where coordination is key. It's strictly a solo planning tool.
- No offline functionality. All suggestions require an active data connection. If you're in a remote area or traveling internationally without a data plan, the app becomes useless. Competitors like Google Maps offer offline maps, and some travel apps allow downloading itineraries for offline access.
- Lack of integration with booking and mapping platforms. You can find activities, but you can't book them directly, nor can you get directions to them. This forces you to switch to other apps to complete your plans, adding friction to the planning process.
- No detailed itinerary planning features. While you can save favorites, there's no option to create day-by-day itineraries with times and durations. This limits its usefulness for multi-day trips where you want a structured plan.
🎯 Best for
Solo travelers or adventure seekers who want spontaneous, curated local ideas without the need for detailed planning or group coordination.
🚫 Who should skip
Travelers who need comprehensive itinerary planning, booking integrations, or collaboration tools for group trips.
📚 Learning curve
Minimal — the app is straightforward with a simple interface; anyone can start discovering adventures immediately.
🧑⚖️ Verdict
Nowy Nowy is a solid choice for spontaneous solo travelers on a budget who want quick, personalized activity ideas. However, if you need collaboration, offline access, or booking integration, you'll be disappointed. Bottom line: it's a useful free tool for inspiration, but not a complete travel plan

📋 Assessment
💪 Strengths
- The most compelling aspect of Travelplan is its 100% free price point with no sign-up required. This means you can test it immediately without creating an account, providing a credit card, or committing to a subscription. Compared to competitors that often require a paid plan for full itinerary access, Travelplan removes all friction, making it ideal for last-minute planning or a quick sanity check.
- Speed and simplicity are standout strengths. Enter a destination, specify the number of days, and list your general interests (e.g., food, history, outdoors). The AI generates a comprehensive day-by-day itinerary in seconds. This rapid turnaround is perfect for brainstorming and getting a framework to refine later, saving hours of scouring travel blogs and review sites.
- Despite its lightweight nature, the itineraries are surprisingly solid for popular destinations. The AI pulls from a wide database of attractions, restaurants, and activities, covering major must-see sights alongside some lesser-known gems. For times when you need quick inspiration, the output is usually accurate and relevant, giving you a trustworthy starting point.
- Travelplan's focus on autonomous generation means you get a complete schedule without manual tweaking — for those who just want a ready-made plan, the tool does all the heavy lifting. It structures your day logically, grouping nearby attractions and suggesting meal times, which is a nice touch that many AI planners miss.
⚠ Watch out for
- Lack of customization is the biggest drawback. After generation, you can't edit, reorder, or delete individual items. If a particular activity doesn't suit you, you must generate a new itinerary from scratch or manually copy the text and edit elsewhere. This severely limits its usefulness for those with specific preferences or constraints.
- There's no mobile app and no offline access. Travelplan only works in a web browser, requiring a constant internet connection. This is inconvenient for travelers who want to consult their itinerary on the go, especially in areas with poor connectivity.
- No integrations with booking, mapping, or calendar tools. You can't book attractions directly, link to Google Maps for directions, or sync the itinerary to your calendar. You must manually transfer every detail, which is tedious and prone to errors, and makes it less of an all-in-one solution.
- The itinerary generation relies on a simple input (destination, duration, interests) that may not capture nuances like travel pace, budget, or accessibility needs. The AI doesn't ask for these details, so the output may not be aligned with your actual constraints, requiring extra research to adjust.
🎯 Best for
Solo travelers or couples looking for a fast, free way to get a personalized sightseeing itinerary without booking tools or complex features.
🚫 Who should skip
Travelers who need group collaboration, real-time booking integration, mobile offline access, or detailed customization — consider alternatives like Wanderlog or TripIt.
📚 Learning curve
Minimal — input your destination and preferences, and the itinerary is generated instantly with no training needed.
🧑⚖️ Verdict
Travelplan is a fantastic, free tool for quickly generating itinerary ideas, especially for spontaneous trips or initial research. However, its lack of customization and integrations means it's not a full planning solution. Buy it if you want fast inspiration; look elsewhere for an all-in-one trip p
