💪 Strengths
- The interface is genuinely simple and intuitive. From the moment you open the app, you're presented with a feed of activity suggestions that you can swipe through. There's no clutter, no confusing menus. This design makes it perfect for quick browsing, especially when you're standing on a street corner wondering what to do next.
- It's completely free to use. Core features like browsing recommendations, saving favorites, and creating basic itineraries are available without any payment. This is a major advantage over competitors that gate basic features behind subscription tiers. You can test the app's value without any financial commitment.
- The recommendation engine is tailored to your preferences. You can indicate whether you prefer urban or nature activities, adventurous or relaxed experiences, and the app adjusts its suggestions accordingly. The curated approach means you're getting quality picks, not just algorithmically generated lists from review sites.
- Coverage spans both urban and nature experiences. Whether you're into street art, local food markets, hiking trails, or scenic viewpoints, the app offers a diverse range of suggestions. This diversity makes it versatile for different types of trips and interests.
⚠ Watch out for
- No collaboration features. You can't share your itinerary with friends or family, nor can you co-plan a trip. This is a significant limitation for group travel, where coordination is key. It's strictly a solo planning tool.
- No offline functionality. All suggestions require an active data connection. If you're in a remote area or traveling internationally without a data plan, the app becomes useless. Competitors like Google Maps offer offline maps, and some travel apps allow downloading itineraries for offline access.
- Lack of integration with booking and mapping platforms. You can find activities, but you can't book them directly, nor can you get directions to them. This forces you to switch to other apps to complete your plans, adding friction to the planning process.
- No detailed itinerary planning features. While you can save favorites, there's no option to create day-by-day itineraries with times and durations. This limits its usefulness for multi-day trips where you want a structured plan.
🎯 Best for
Solo travelers or adventure seekers who want spontaneous, curated local ideas without the need for detailed planning or group coordination.
🚫 Who should skip
Travelers who need comprehensive itinerary planning, booking integrations, or collaboration tools for group trips.
📚 Learning curve
Minimal — the app is straightforward with a simple interface; anyone can start discovering adventures immediately.
🧑⚖️ Verdict
Nowy Nowy is a solid choice for spontaneous solo travelers on a budget who want quick, personalized activity ideas. However, if you need collaboration, offline access, or booking integration, you'll be disappointed. Bottom line: it's a useful free tool for inspiration, but not a complete travel plan

📋 Assessment
💪 Strengths
- Zero Cost: Roamr is entirely free with no hidden charges. In an AI travel market where tools like TripIt Pro cost $49/year and custom Concierge services run hundreds of dollars, this is a standout advantage. You can generate unlimited itineraries without a subscription, making it an ideal trial for AI travel planning.
- No-Signup Convenience: You can start planning immediately without creating an account. This removes a major friction point—no email verification, no password setup, no profile to maintain. For privacy-conscious users or those wanting a quick answer, this is a significant time-saver.
- Intuitive Interface: The user interface is clean and straightforward. Rather than overwhelming you with options, Roamr asks a few essential questions (destination, dates, interests) and delivers results instantly. This is perfect for users who are not tech-savvy or who dislike steep learning curves.
- Speed: Itinerary generation takes seconds. This is ideal for spontaneous planning—like when you decide on a Thursday night to visit a nearby city for the weekend and need ideas fast. Roamr provides a structured plan without bogging down in endless options.
- Useful Starting Point: Even if the itineraries are not flawless, they serve as a solid template. You can use Roamr's suggestions as a baseline and then refine with your own research. This is especially helpful for first-time visitors to a city who don't know the must-see attractions.
⚠ Watch out for
- Lack of Booking Integration: Roamr doesn't connect to any booking platforms. You cannot book flights, hotels, or tours from within the tool. After generating your itinerary, you must manually switch to other websites to made reservations. This is a major time sink compared to tools like TripIt, which aggregates bookings automatically from your email.
- No Mobile App or Offline Access: The service is only available via web browser. There is no iOS or Android app, so you cannot access your itineraries offline or get real-time notifications while traveling. For international travelers who may not have constant data connectivity, this is a critical shortfall.
- Limited Feature Set: Roamr lacks advanced capabilities such as collaborative planning (inviting friends or family to edit the itinerary), API access for developers, or travel analytics (like expense tracking). There is no option to adjust daily plans interactively—you must start over or manually edit the generated plan.
- Generic Recommendations: The AI-generated itineraries tend to be surface-level, focusing on famous landmarks and common activities found in any travel guide. For niche interests (e.g., architectural photography, culinary classes, or hidden local spots), the recommendations may be underwhelming.
- No Customer Support Infrastructure: There is no dedicated support team, no help center, and no contact form on the website. If you encounter a bug or have a question, you are left to your own devices. This is acceptable for a free tool but a risk if the service stops working.
