📋 Assessment
💪 Strengths
- The interface is genuinely simple and intuitive. From the moment you open the app, you're presented with a feed of activity suggestions that you can swipe through. There's no clutter, no confusing menus. This design makes it perfect for quick browsing, especially when you're standing on a street corner wondering what to do next.
- It's completely free to use. Core features like browsing recommendations, saving favorites, and creating basic itineraries are available without any payment. This is a major advantage over competitors that gate basic features behind subscription tiers. You can test the app's value without any financial commitment.
- The recommendation engine is tailored to your preferences. You can indicate whether you prefer urban or nature activities, adventurous or relaxed experiences, and the app adjusts its suggestions accordingly. The curated approach means you're getting quality picks, not just algorithmically generated lists from review sites.
- Coverage spans both urban and nature experiences. Whether you're into street art, local food markets, hiking trails, or scenic viewpoints, the app offers a diverse range of suggestions. This diversity makes it versatile for different types of trips and interests.
⚠ Watch out for
- No collaboration features. You can't share your itinerary with friends or family, nor can you co-plan a trip. This is a significant limitation for group travel, where coordination is key. It's strictly a solo planning tool.
- No offline functionality. All suggestions require an active data connection. If you're in a remote area or traveling internationally without a data plan, the app becomes useless. Competitors like Google Maps offer offline maps, and some travel apps allow downloading itineraries for offline access.
- Lack of integration with booking and mapping platforms. You can find activities, but you can't book them directly, nor can you get directions to them. This forces you to switch to other apps to complete your plans, adding friction to the planning process.
- No detailed itinerary planning features. While you can save favorites, there's no option to create day-by-day itineraries with times and durations. This limits its usefulness for multi-day trips where you want a structured plan.
🎯 Best for
Solo travelers or adventure seekers who want spontaneous, curated local ideas without the need for detailed planning or group coordination.
🚫 Who should skip
Travelers who need comprehensive itinerary planning, booking integrations, or collaboration tools for group trips.
📚 Learning curve
Minimal — the app is straightforward with a simple interface; anyone can start discovering adventures immediately.
🧑⚖️ Verdict
Nowy Nowy is a solid choice for spontaneous solo travelers on a budget who want quick, personalized activity ideas. However, if you need collaboration, offline access, or booking integration, you'll be disappointed. Bottom line: it's a useful free tool for inspiration, but not a complete travel plan

📋 Assessment
💪 Strengths
- The first major plus is that TripPlanner AI is completely free with no upfront payment required. This is a huge advantage over many AI travel planners that charge monthly fees (like $10-$20 per month) or offer only limited free tiers. You can generate unlimited itineraries without worrying about budget, which is great for budget-conscious travelers who want to 'test drive' several destinations before committing.
- The AI-driven itinerary generation saves an immense amount of manual research time. Instead of spending hours browsing blogs and guidebooks, you can get a structured, day-by-day plan with activities and restaurants in minutes. The AI takes into account your stated interests, such as history, food, or outdoor activities, and organizes the schedule logically, grouping nearby attractions to minimize travel time.
- The interface is straightforward and user-friendly, making it accessible to even the least tech-savvy users. The process is simple: enter a city, pick dates, select a few preferences, and click generate. The output is presented in a clean, readable format that you can easily skim and copy into your own notes or a document.
- It's an excellent brainstorming tool for inspiration. If you're unsure where to go on your next vacation, you can use TripPlanner AI to generate itineraries for multiple cities quickly. For example, you might compare a Lisbon itinerary with one for Prague to see which excites you more. This helps narrow down your destination choice before diving into the details of booking.
- The generated itineraries include practical details like estimated durations for each activity and meal suggestions, which is helpful for giving a rough idea of how to pace your day. You can adjust the pace setting to 'relaxed' or 'packed' to match your travel style, and the AI will modify the number of activities accordingly.
⚠ Watch out for
- The most glaring limitation is the lack of a mobile app. In a world where travelers rely on their smartphones for everything, having to access the planner through a web browser is inconvenient, especially when you're on the go. While the website is responsive, it's not the same as a dedicated app with offline access, push notifications, or GPS integration.
- It doesn't integrate with booking sites or calendars. There are no direct links to book flights, hotels, or activities, and you can't sync the itinerary to Google Calendar or Apple Calendar. This means you have to manually transfer information to your booking and planning tools, which adds friction and increases the risk of missing details.
- There are no collaboration features for group travel. If you're planning a trip with friends or family, you can't invite others to view or edit the itinerary in real-time. You'll have to export the plan and share it via email or messaging apps, and you'll be stuck with manual updates if someone suggests a change.
- The AI-generated itineraries can feel generic and lacking in local depth. It often defaults to well-known tourist attractions rather than uncovering hidden gems or authentic local experiences. For seasoned travelers looking for unique adventures, this can be a letdown, though it's fine for first-time visitors.
- There's a lack of user account system and data persistence. Since you don't create an account, you can't save your itineraries on the platform itself. You must copy the text or print the page. This is a significant drawback for multi-day planning, as you might lose your work if you navigate away accidentally.
