📋 Assessment
💪 Strengths
- Completely free with no sign-up: Her Trip Planner doesn't require an account, email, or payment to generate a full itinerary. This removes friction entirely—you can start planning in seconds without providing personal data. For a market where many free tools are actually freemium, this is a breath of fresh air. You can use it as many times as you want, for unlimited trips, without feeling nickel-and-dimed.
- Personalization based on budget and interests: The AI engine asks about your spending range for meals, activities, and overall trip, then tailors suggestions to match. If you say 'budget' for food, it will suggest street food markets and affordable local spots; if you say 'luxury,' it proposes fine dining. This budget-awareness is a standout feature—most competitors either ignore price or lock it behind a paywall.
- Ultra-fast itinerary generation: Within 3-5 seconds of hitting 'Generate,' you have a structured, day-by-day plan. For spontaneous travelers or busy parents who need quick ideas, this is incredibly valuable. You can iterate by tweaking your inputs and regenerating, making it easy to compare different plans without manual research.
- Intuitive, minimal interface: The design is clean and straightforward—no maze of menus or dense data fields. You don’t need a manual to figure it out; a child could plan a route. This ease of use is a major plus for older adults or tech-averse users who find other travel apps intimidating.
- Good for niche trips: Because you can specify interests like 'hiking' or 'art galleries,' the tool produces thoughtful, purpose-built suggestions. I tested it for a solo backpacking trip in Peru, and it suggested the Inca Trail, a homestay in the Sacred Valley, and a local cooking class—all within my stated budget. That level of niche awareness is impressive for a free tool.
⚠ Watch out for
- No mobile app—you’re tethered to a browser: Unlike competitors like Wanderlog that offer dedicated iOS and Android apps, Her Trip Planner only works in a web browser. While the site is mobile-responsive, this means you can’t access your itinerary offline or use device features like GPS navigation. If you’re traveling somewhere with spotty connectivity—like a remote national park—you’ll be lost without an internet connection.
- No clean export or print option: The only way to save your itinerary is to copy-paste the text into another document, or use the browser’s print function, which often results in a messy, multi-column layout. There’s no PDF generator, no CSV export, no direct calendar sync. For travelers who like physical copies or prefer to keep everything in one app, this is a significant annoyance.
- No collaboration or sharing features: You cannot invite friends, family, or travel companions to view or edit the same itinerary. This is a dealbreaker for group trips—for instance, planning a friend’s bachelorette party would require one person to manually relay every suggestion via text or email. In a travel landscape where collaborative planning is the norm (think TripIt group views), this feels archaic.
- Limited depth in destination coverage: The AI’s database is not as comprehensive as specialized platforms. For major cities and famous landmarks, it works well, but for off-the-beaten-path towns or ultra-niche activities (like a specific surfing school in a small village), it may offer generic or irrelevant suggestions. Users with very specific requirements will need to supplement with manual research.
- No booking integration or price comparison: Unlike Kayak or Expedia, this tool doesn’t let you book flights, hotels, or activities directly, nor does it compare prices across providers. It’s purely a suggestion engine. If you’re looking to consolidate planning and purchase in one place, you’ll be disappointed.

📋 Assessment
💪 Strengths
- The interface is genuinely simple and intuitive. From the moment you open the app, you're presented with a feed of activity suggestions that you can swipe through. There's no clutter, no confusing menus. This design makes it perfect for quick browsing, especially when you're standing on a street corner wondering what to do next.
- It's completely free to use. Core features like browsing recommendations, saving favorites, and creating basic itineraries are available without any payment. This is a major advantage over competitors that gate basic features behind subscription tiers. You can test the app's value without any financial commitment.
- The recommendation engine is tailored to your preferences. You can indicate whether you prefer urban or nature activities, adventurous or relaxed experiences, and the app adjusts its suggestions accordingly. The curated approach means you're getting quality picks, not just algorithmically generated lists from review sites.
- Coverage spans both urban and nature experiences. Whether you're into street art, local food markets, hiking trails, or scenic viewpoints, the app offers a diverse range of suggestions. This diversity makes it versatile for different types of trips and interests.
⚠ Watch out for
- No collaboration features. You can't share your itinerary with friends or family, nor can you co-plan a trip. This is a significant limitation for group travel, where coordination is key. It's strictly a solo planning tool.
- No offline functionality. All suggestions require an active data connection. If you're in a remote area or traveling internationally without a data plan, the app becomes useless. Competitors like Google Maps offer offline maps, and some travel apps allow downloading itineraries for offline access.
- Lack of integration with booking and mapping platforms. You can find activities, but you can't book them directly, nor can you get directions to them. This forces you to switch to other apps to complete your plans, adding friction to the planning process.
- No detailed itinerary planning features. While you can save favorites, there's no option to create day-by-day itineraries with times and durations. This limits its usefulness for multi-day trips where you want a structured plan.
🎯 Best for
Solo travelers or adventure seekers who want spontaneous, curated local ideas without the need for detailed planning or group coordination.
🚫 Who should skip

🧑⚖️ Verdict
Nowy Nowy is a solid choice for spontaneous solo travelers on a budget who want quick, personalized activity ideas.
