💪 Strengths
- The interface is genuinely simple and intuitive. From the moment you open the app, you're presented with a feed of activity suggestions that you can swipe through. There's no clutter, no confusing menus. This design makes it perfect for quick browsing, especially when you're standing on a street corner wondering what to do next.
- It's completely free to use. Core features like browsing recommendations, saving favorites, and creating basic itineraries are available without any payment. This is a major advantage over competitors that gate basic features behind subscription tiers. You can test the app's value without any financial commitment.
- The recommendation engine is tailored to your preferences. You can indicate whether you prefer urban or nature activities, adventurous or relaxed experiences, and the app adjusts its suggestions accordingly. The curated approach means you're getting quality picks, not just algorithmically generated lists from review sites.
- Coverage spans both urban and nature experiences. Whether you're into street art, local food markets, hiking trails, or scenic viewpoints, the app offers a diverse range of suggestions. This diversity makes it versatile for different types of trips and interests.
⚠ Watch out for
- No collaboration features. You can't share your itinerary with friends or family, nor can you co-plan a trip. This is a significant limitation for group travel, where coordination is key. It's strictly a solo planning tool.
- No offline functionality. All suggestions require an active data connection. If you're in a remote area or traveling internationally without a data plan, the app becomes useless. Competitors like Google Maps offer offline maps, and some travel apps allow downloading itineraries for offline access.
- Lack of integration with booking and mapping platforms. You can find activities, but you can't book them directly, nor can you get directions to them. This forces you to switch to other apps to complete your plans, adding friction to the planning process.
- No detailed itinerary planning features. While you can save favorites, there's no option to create day-by-day itineraries with times and durations. This limits its usefulness for multi-day trips where you want a structured plan.
🎯 Best for
Solo travelers or adventure seekers who want spontaneous, curated local ideas without the need for detailed planning or group coordination.
🚫 Who should skip
Travelers who need comprehensive itinerary planning, booking integrations, or collaboration tools for group trips.
📚 Learning curve
Minimal — the app is straightforward with a simple interface; anyone can start discovering adventures immediately.
🧑⚖️ Verdict
Nowy Nowy is a solid choice for spontaneous solo travelers on a budget who want quick, personalized activity ideas. However, if you need collaboration, offline access, or booking integration, you'll be disappointed. Bottom line: it's a useful free tool for inspiration, but not a complete travel plan

📋 Assessment
💪 Strengths
- Completely free: Orkoi Orkoi is 100% free, with no hidden charges, premium tiers, or subscription requirements. This is a rare find in the AI travel space, where competitors like TripPlanner AI and GuideGeek offer limited free trials or charge monthly fees. You get the full functionality without entering a credit card or committing to a recurring cost.
- Instant personalized itineraries: In just a few seconds, the AI generates a day-by-day plan tailored to your destination, travel dates, and interests. The tool asks for your preferences (like food, history, adventure) and incorporates them into the suggestions, making the output feel relevant and personalized. For spontaneous trip planning, this speed is a huge advantage.
- No sign-up required: You don’t need to create an account or provide personal information to use Orkoi. This eliminates friction and respects your privacy, allowing you to start planning immediately. In a world where every web service wants your email, this simplicity is refreshing.
- User-friendly interface: The UI is clean and intuitive, with a simple three-step process: destination, dates, interests. Even technophobes will find it easy. The results are displayed in a clear, readable format, with activity names, descriptions, and approximate timings.
- Great for brainstorming: Even if you don’t use the exact plan, it serves as an excellent starting point. You can discover attractions and restaurants you might not have found otherwise, and the AI’s suggestions often inspire you to research further on your own.
⚠ Watch out for
- No saving or exporting: The killer drawback is that you can’t save your generated itinerary, export it to PDF, or send it to your email. If you close the browser tab or lose internet connection, your plan is gone forever. This makes it impractical for real trip planning, where you need to reference the itinerary later.
- No editing capabilities: Once the itinerary is generated, you cannot modify it. You can’t change a specific activity’s time, swap out a restaurant, or add your own notes. The only way to get a different plan is to regenerate a completely new one, which isn’t always ideal.
- No mobile app: Orkoi Orkoi is a web app with no dedicated mobile version or app. While the site is responsive, navigating it on a smartphone isn’t as smooth as a native app. More importantly, without offline access, you can’t pull up your plan while traveling unless you have a reliable internet connection.
- Limited collaboration: Group travel planning is impossible with Orkoi. There are no sharing features, no shared editing, and no way to comment or vote on activities. You’d have to take screenshots and manually coordinate with your travel partners, which defeats the purpose of an AI assistant.
- Often lacks depth and local insight: While the AI suggestions are decent, they sometimes miss hidden gems or local favorites that more established platforms like Google Maps or travel blogs provide. The recommendations can be generic and touristy, which may not satisfy experienced travelers looking for off-the-beaten-path experiences.
